Taguig City is urging residents and others going to and from the city to avail themselves of barangay-based or drive-thru testing, amid rising cases of Covid-19 in the country.

The city’s Systematic Mass Approach to Responsible Testing or SMART Testing will be used to maximize efforts to expand the city’s testing capacity, officials said.

Citizens can be tested at the nearest health center and transported via a free shuttle service, or by getting a schedule for drive-thru testing at Bonifacio Global Center (BGC) in Brgy. Fort Bonifacio every Wednesday or at Lakeshore in Brgy. Lower Bicutan every Friday.

“Upang maging ligtas at Covid-free ang lungsod, patuloy na nagbibigay ang lokal na pamahalaan ng accessible COVID-19 assessment survey para sa mga indibidwal na madaling kapitan ng sakit,” Dr. George Tizon, education office head of Taguig, said in an interview with Taguig City Daily Report.

The city has also launched Taguig Response and Assessment for COVID Emergency (TRACE), a contact tracing app where users can scan QR codes of establishments to digitally input the information needed for contact tracing.

Taguig City remains the city in Metro Manila with the lowest number of cases, at 12,412 as of March 7. H. B. Oledan
