Mayor Lino Cayetano received on Monday his first shot of the Sinovac vaccine against Covid-19.

“Today I received the first dose of the Sinovac vaccine together with other A1.5 government frontliners, senior citizens and adults with comorbidities,” Cayetano said in a statement.

Cayetano urged all Taguig residents to register through the Taguig Registry for Access and Citizen Engagement (Trace) to secure their vaccinations.

He also said the city government expected additional vaccines from AstraZeneca, Covovax, Covaxin, and Moderna to arrive by the third quarter of the year.

“Vaccination is an important component of the Prevent-Detect-Isolate-Treat-Reintegrate strategy. We must continue to work together as we transition to the new normal,” Cayetano said.

Barangay health centers and the City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit in Taguig City also offer free PCR testing from Monday-Friday. Arvee Christine R. Biscocho
