In its 5 p.m. severe weather bulletin, PAGASA said Enteng was spotted 730 kilometers northeast of Basco, Batanes generating maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 90 kph.
The tropical depression is forecast to be 20 km south-southwest of Basco, Batanes by Tuesday morning, and by Wednesday, Carina is expected to weaken into a low-pressure area.
The weather bureau announced the onset of the rainy season as tropical depression “Butchoy” and the southwest monsoon brought more rains to Luzon and the Visayas.
