The Commission on Elections (Comelec) said that no printed ballots and other election paraphernalia for the December 2022 barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections (BSKE) would go to waste amid the postponement of the elections.
The Senate approved on third and final reading a bill delaying the 2022 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) for a year.
The House of Representatives approved on third and final reading the bill which aims to postpone the December 2022 barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections for one year.
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) asked lawmakers to finalize their decision on the schedule of the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections (BSKE) before the end of September, as they start the printing of ballots for the upcoming elections.
The House Suffrage and Electoral Reforms committee voted to move the barangay and youth council elections from December 5, 2022 to December 4, 2023.
