POEA: OFW deployment suffered 75% decline in 2020
The Department of Foreign Affairs earlier reported that it had repatriated 327,511 in 2020.

“Iyong mga health professinals na mayroon na pong mga papeles, ibig sabihin iyong overseas employment certificate na issued ng POEA (Philippine Overseas Employment Administration) at iyong employment contract na verified as of March 8, 2020 ay pupuwede pong lumabas ng bansa,” Palace spokesman Harry Roque said in a televised address.

While the country needs more health workers in its fight to wipe out the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the country, the government will permit health workers with existing contracts to return to the countries where they are employed.
