In his recorded public address aired on Tuesday, Duterte noted that a government agency dedicated for OFWs was one his promises during his campaign for the presidency.
The “Tabang OFW” scholarship program was set up by DOLE, the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) and its Unified Financial Assistance System (UniFAST) for Tertiary Education, and the Overseas Workers Welfare Association.
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported 20 new Covid-19 cases among overseas Filipinos (OFs) on Monday, bringing the total to 10,003.
