Around 10,000 policemen are set to be deployed in Metro Manila to secure the observation of Undas or All Saints’ Day on November 1, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said Monday.
The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) is asking the public’s cooperation in fighting the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections due to the possible reinstatement of the Alert Level 2 in Metro Manila.
As the country celebrates New Year’s Eve, Metro Manila police chief, Brig. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr. admitted that the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) won’t be able to track everything during the celebration, including the country’s observance to the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) health protocols.
“We won’t set them free just like that anymore, just to show them that we mean business. No discussion. If anyone brings out a placard, they’re arrested right away,” controversial NCRPO chief Debold Sinas warned SONA protesters.
Metro Manila police chief Debold Sinas will still face administrative and criminal proceedings for holding a birthday celebration in the middle of the lockdown, Palace spokesman Harry Roque said.
