Is your Facebook account secured? The National Privacy Commission said it is validating reports that 879,699 Facebook accounts of Filipino netizens are allegedly compromised as part of the large-scale breach affecting 533 million global users from 106 countries of the social media platform.
The National Privacy Commission (NPC) warned business establishments using for marketing purposes data collected from their customers’ contact tracing forms that they could face hefty fines and jail time if they don’t cease from the illegal practice.
PLDT fought off 10 data breaches in 2019, the company said in a regulatory filing submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission in the United States.

The National Privacy Commission (NPC) on Monday said any evidence of quarantine violations gathered by the police on social media must be obtained legally.
