The Philippines is now “ready” if it switches into the less stringent modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) status, according to Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Francisco Duque III.
In an interview over PTV-4, Palace spokesman Harry Roque said the recent positions made by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases and the mayors of Metro Manila could help Duterte decide on relaxing quarantine protocols nationwide.
Metro Manila has not been under MGCQ since the imposition of community quarantines in the country.
IATF and Palace spokesman Harry Roque said any person below 10 years old and those who are over 65 would be required to remain in their residence “at all times.”
