The Dinagat Islands province is appealing to the Department of Health (DOH) to allow it to start the vaccination of frontline personnel in essential sectors, or the A4 priority group, as the province has become a “high risk” area, a health official said.
Palace spokesman Harry Roque in a press release announced the new quarantine classifications for the month of June as approved by President Rodrigo Duterte following the recommendation of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases, May 31, 2021.
According to IATF Resolution 114-C, which was issued on May 9 but made public only on Monday, the three areas were placed under MECQ from May 10 until May 23.
