The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) has stood firm on its decision to compel Cebu to follow the national quarantine guidelines for returning overseas workers, the IATF chief implementer for the Visayas said on Wednesday.
Cebuano lawyers filed Monday a petition in court to declare “inapplicable” and “ineffective” the National Inter-Agency Task Force policy (NIATF) for arriving Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and Returning Overseas Filipinos (ROFs) in Cebu.
According to IATF Resolution 114-C, which was issued on May 9 but made public only on Monday, the three areas were placed under MECQ from May 10 until May 23.
In its 114th resolution, the pandemic task force deemed registration for the national identification system as “essential government service.”
