Several Facebook posts falsely claimed that former Senate president and Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Juan Ponce Enrile had passed away, following an announcement in the Senate of his failing health on Nov. 11.
A satirical post on Facebook claims Juan Ponce Enrile experienced the same emotional response to the breakup of the Filipino celebrity couple “KathNiel” as he did to that of the biblical characters Samson and Delilah.

Enrile was invited to Malacañang at the president’s request to talk about his insights on West Philippine Sea issues.
