Privacy Commission to go after businesses using contact tracing info for marketing gimmicks
The National Privacy Commission (NPC) warned business establishments using for marketing purposes data collected from their customers’ contact tracing forms that they could face hefty fines and jail time if they don’t cease from the illegal practice.

The easing of restrictions was done to “augment the additional operational requirements and serve the needs of the public while enhancing income opportunities for workers,” according to DTI’s Memorandum Circular No. 20-52 issued on Friday.
