The PNP assured Vice President Leni Robredo that they are ready to make revisions to the government’s controversial anti-drug war program “Oplan Tokhang.”
Vice President Robredo says she’s “all for evidence-based strategy and approach,” noting that President Duterte himself was frustrated the number of drug dependents rose to 7 to 8 million three years after the drug war began.
Vice President Robredo said that if only to “stop the killings of the innocent and hold to account those responsible,” she had accepted the post against the advice of her allies, who claimed the offer was insincere or a trap.
The Senate Blue Ribbon Committee is recommending graft charges against former Police Chief Oscar Albayalde and 13 Pampanga cops involved in the drug recycling controversy.
