Colleges and universities will be allowed to reopen on May 4, 2020 only in areas under general community quarantine, Malacañang said on Tuesday.
Moreover, higher education institutions will only be allowed to operate using a “skeletal workforce,” Palace spokesman Harry Roque said.
Resumption of work in colleges and universities is meant to finish Academic Year 2019-2020 and prepare for flexible study arrangements in the next academic year, he said.
Roque clarified that classes would not be purely online. “Flexible has a wider meaning compared with online,” he said. (PressONE.ph)
