Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police General Debold Sinas shared that he had successfully lost 20 kilos.

Sinas shared in a television interview that his secret was observing a strict diet and proper exercise. He also consulted his physician on how to lose weight.

“That’s almost four months program. ‘Di ba nag-umpisa ako, I consulted the doctor. I have my medical checkup, ginuide po ako kung papaano po… strict diet, healthy living, bawas muna ang mag-inom, tapos sleep well…” Sinas told ANC.

Last month, Sinas ordered the resumption of monitoring the cops’ body mass index (BMI) as part of his campaign as PNP Chief to curb obesity and possible comorbities among the police force.

The said program was suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic in the country.

“Obesity causes diabetes, heart disease which are comorbidities for Covid-19… Puwedeng mataba, huwag lang masyado kasi alam niyo, for the last nine months because of the pandemic, parang konti na lang nag-e-exercise at gumagalaw,” Sinas said back then.

Over 30 members of the police force had failed the fitness and BMI tests in Camp Crame earlier this year. RJ Espartinez
