The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said four areas are still under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 after Tropical Depression Agaton slightly intensified.

According to the weather bureau’s 5 p.m. tropical cyclone bulletin, the center of Agaton was located 130 kilometers east southeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar. 

It carries maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 70 kph.

It was seen moving slowly northeastward.

Signal No. 1 was declared over Eastern Samar, Dinagat Islands, Siargao, and Bucas Grande Islands.

Eastern Visayas and Dinagat Islands will experience moderate to heavy with at times intense rains on Sunday morning. 

Masbate, Sorsogon, and the rest of Visayas and Mindanao will experience light to moderate with at times heavy rains. Ronald Espartinez
