The nine-piece South Korean idol group SF9 made their comeback on Monday (July 5) with their newest music video, “Tear Drop,” for their ninth mini-album, “Turn Over.”

The music video was released at 5 p.m. Philippine Standard Time, and featured all nine members, Youngbin, Inseong, Jaeyoon, Dawon, Rowoon, Zuho, Yoo Taeyang, Hwiyoung and Chani vibing with the “sad” theme and restrained sexy concept of the video.

The album has six tracks including the title track, “Tear Drop.” The others are “Believer,” “Love Again,” Off my mind,” Fanatic,” and “Hey Hi Bye.”

The title track, “Tear Drop” is an emotional dance track with a UK garage-style beat, minimal arrangement, and a unique base sound that is heavily lowered in the chorus.

The lyrics, co-written by leader Youngbin and rappers Zuho and Hwiyoung, and composed by Daniel Kim and Al Swettenham — the songwriters behind their hit song, “Good Guy”— talk about breakup and heartbreak.

The album marks SF9’s first official comeback in a year since the release of their eighth mini album “9loryUS” in July 2020.

As of writing, the music video has garnered 1.1 million views.

SF9 debuted under FNC Entertainment in 2016, with their debut track, “Fanfare.” Jade Veronique V. Yap
