Aside from the Taal volcano, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) is monitoring other active volcanoes across the country.

Phivolcs chief Renato Solidum said four volcanoes across the country were under Alert Level One due to volcanic unrest.

Under Alert Level One, there is a slight increase in volcano earthquakes, sporadic explosions and a noticeable increase in the temperature of hot springs.

Taal Volcano is under Alert Level Three, which means there was a sustained volcanic earthquake and that an imminent eruption was underway. Evacuation in the danger zone is also enforced. Dominic Emanuel Apolona
