Typhoon Rolly, with an international code name “Goni,” weakened into a typhoon from a super typhoon as it exited Pasacao, Camarines Sur and moves towards Marinduque-Southern Quezon area this afternoon, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

In its 11 a.m. weather bulletin, the center of the eye of Typhoon “ROLLY” was located over the coastal waters of Pasacao, Camarines Sur or 30 km West Southwest of Pili, Camarines Sur (13.5°N, 123.0°E). 

It has maximum sustained winds of 215 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 295 km/h. The storm is also moving westward at 25 km/h.

Rolly will pass over Batangas and Cavite area this late afternoon through evening.

Meanwhile, the center of the eye of Rolly will be located around 70 km south of Metro Manila around 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. today. The storm is expected to exit the mainland Luzon landmass and emerge over the Philippine Sea between tonight and tomorrow early morning.
