Outgoing Vice President Leni Robredo thanked volunteers of Bayanihan E-Konsulta on the last day of the telemedicine channel.

The project ended Tuesday, May 31, after helping more than 58,000 Covid-19 and non-Covid-19 patients.

Robredo shared in her tweet that a total of 947 doctors and 1,761 call and chat agents assisted the Office of the Vice President (OVP) during the entire stint of the Bayanihan E-Konsulta.

“Huling araw ngayon ng ating Bayanihan E-Konsulta initiative. Since we launched the program in April 2021, we have assisted more than 58,000 cases—both COVID and non-COVID patients,” she said.

“This was made possible by volunteers, including 947 doctors and 1,761 call/chat agents,” she added.

Robredo said that it was an honor to support people during the Covid-19 peaks where online consultation channels played a vital role.

“Lubos ang aking pasasalamat sa lahat ng nakasama natin: sa ating volunteer doctors, call/chat agents, EMS teams, and to my OVP family,” Robredo said.

“At sa lahat ng mga kababayan na ating natulungan sa Bayanihan E-Konsulta, malaking karangalan po para sa amin na kayo ay mapaglingkuran,” she added.

The OVP announced last May 23 that the Bayanihan E-Konsulta will cease operations on May 31 to give more time for the transition of the new Vice President.
