The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) has issued more than 61 million national IDs, the latest figures from the agency showed.

The PSA said it had printed 37.11 million physical IDs.

Of the total national IDs printed, 29.84 million have been delivered by the Philippine Post Office.

The PSA in October 2022 launched downloadable versions of the national ID, named ePhilID, which allows registered persons to download PDF versions of their IDs.

More than 31.7 million ePhilIDs have been delivered, the PSA said.

“This brings a combined total of 61.54 million PhilIDs and ePhilIDs delivered, which can already be used by registrants in transactions,” the PSA said.

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has said the national ID would play a huge part in his “digital transformation” goal for the government. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
