The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced the cancellation of some August 2020 licensure examinations as a precautionary measure amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
The following licensure examinations have been cancelled as of today, May 31:
• Sanitary Engineers Licensure Examination (August 4-6, 2020)
• Mining Engineers Licensure Examination (August 4-6, 2020)
• Licensure Examination for Physical and Occupational Therapists (August 8-9, 2020)
• Licensure Examination for Veterinarians (August 11-13, 2020)
• Licensure Examination for Nutritionists and Dietitians (August 16-17, 2020)
• Licensure Examination for Guidance Counselors (August 19-20, 2020)
• Licensure Examination for Mechanical Engineers and Certified Plant Mechanics (August 22-23, 2020)
• Social Workers Licensure Examination (August 25-27, 2020)
PRC has yet to announce if the licensure examination for medical technologists will push through on its Aug. 29-30 schedule.
The cancellations were made “due to government imposed restrictions and other unforeseeable circumstances because of extended community quarantines, and to ensure the health and safety of the examinees, Professional Regulatory Boards and examination personnel,” PRC said. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
