“Hacktivist” group, short for activist hackers, Anonymous, claims it has hacked the official Twitter account of Philippine telecommunications company, PLDT.
Below is the message of the hackers taking over the Twitter account.

The hashtag #PLDTHacked has landed number 4 in the Philippines top trending topic on Twitter.
Twitter user EBiado noted the irony between the last post of PLDT on their Twitter account before it was hacked by Anonymous.

While another user wishes that the country’s true COVID numbers will be revealed by the hackers.

The hackers even left a warning to the country’s other telco, Globe.
