The Philippines’ coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) tally rose to 552,246 after the Department of Health (DOH) reported 1,391 new infections.

According to the latest DOH data, 10 Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time. 

Currently, there are 28,926 active Covid-19 cases undergoing treatment or quarantine: 87.1 percent are mild, 6.7 percent are asymptomatic, 2.7 percent are severe, and 2.7 percent are in critical condition.

 

The country’s recovery rate increased to 511,796 with 45 new patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness. 

Death toll, on the other hand, inches to 11,524 with 7 new fatalities.

Meanwhile, 5 duplicate cases were removed from the total case count while two cases previously declared as recovered were reclassified as deaths after the final validation. Ronald dela Cruz
