
The Department of Health (DOH) announced on Thursday 1,407 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pushing the Philippines’ tally to 402,820.
According to the DOH’s latest data, 17 Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time.
Majority of the infections reported came from Davao City with 214 cases; followed by Eastern Samar with 75; Rizal with 75; Cavite with 64; and Quezon with 54.
Currently, 32,682 active Covid-19 cases are undergoing treatment or quarantine: 83.6 percent are mild, 9.4 percent are asymptomatic, 2.4 percent are severe, and 4.4 percent are in critical condition.
The country’s recovery rate increased to 362,417 with 211 more patients winning the fight against the deadly disease.
Death toll, on the other hand, now stands at 7,721 with 11 new Covid-19 fatalities.
“Moreover, eight cases previously tagged as recovered were reclassified as deaths,” the DOH added.
