The Philippines’ coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) tally increased to 566,420 after the Department of Health (DOH) reported 1,557 new infections.
According to the latest data from the DOH, six Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time.
Currently, there are 30,970 active Covid-19 cases undergoing medical treatment or quarantine: 86.5% are mild, 5.9% are asymptomatic, 2.5% are critical, 2.4% are severe, and 0.80% are moderate.
The country’s recovery rate pushes to 523,321 with 392 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.
Death toll, on the other hand, climbs to 12,129 with 22 new fatalities.
The DOH also removed two duplicates from the total case count, while 11 cases previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation. Ronald dela Cruz
