The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Friday welcomed the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.
“The Philippines acknowledges the efforts of several countries, including Egypt and the United States, in facilitating the agreement,” the DFA said.
The bilateral ceasefire between the two countries came after 11 days of trading rocket fire.
At least 243 Palestinians in Gaza and 12 Israelis were killed.
The DFA reported that no Filipinos were harmed in the conflict.
