The Philippines’ coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) tally reached 505,939 after the Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday reported 1,862 new infections.
According to the latest data of DOH, two Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time.
Bulk of the new cases came from Zamboanga City with 206; followed by Davao City with 109; Kalinga with 102; Quezon City with 77; and Benguet with 74.
The country’s recovery rate increased to 466,993 with 765 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.
Death toll, on the other hand, spiked to 10,042 with 64 new fatalities. Ronald dela Cruz
