Health Secretary Francisco Duque III on Thursday said the country would have another national vaccination drive in March.
The vaccination drive will prioritize senior citizens, he said.
“Itong Marso, sa susunod na buwan, ay nakakasiguro po kayo na magpapaganap na naman po tayo ng National Vaccination Day 4, iyong ating mga senior citizens uunahin po natin sila,” he said in a “Laging Handa” briefing.
Duque said pediatric age groups would also be covered in the vaccination drive.
“Siyempre iyong ating primary dose series ay paiigtingin pa rin natin ito, iyong mga hindi pa rin nakakatanggap ni isa na bakuna kailangan isulong din ito ng mas malakas,” he added.
The health chief also ascertained that the country could hit its target of vaccinating 15 million Filipinos aged five to 100 by June.
The government held a vaccination drive earlier this month, which was able to inoculate more than 3.5 million individuals.
More than 62.6 million Filipinos have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
It has 55,079 active Covid-19 cases as of Feb. 24.
The government is aiming to vaccinate 90 million Filipinos in 2022. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
