The Philippines’s fourth national vaccination drive is tentatively scheduled for March 10 to 12, National Vaccination Operations Center (NVOC) chairperson Myrna Cabotaje said on Wednesday.

The vaccination drive will be under the theme “March to Vaccinate,” Cabotaje said.

“Ang ating tema ay ‘March to Vaccinate,’ kasi dadalhin natin sa mga bahay-bahay at saka sa mga workplace ang ating bakuna,” she said.

Cabotaje said bringing vaccines closer to people would boost the country’s vaccination rate.

“Pupunta tayo sa mga workplaces, iyong ating mga health care workers dapat ma-booster, iyon ang paiigtingin natin,” she said.

“Iyong ating mga workplaces, iyong ating mga ecozones, iyong ating national government agencies, doon tayo magfo-focus para mabigyan sila ng mga boosters, iyong mga economic frontliners natin,” Cabotaje added.

Cabotaje reported that of the 36.7 million Filipinos due for booster shots, only a third or about 10 million had been boosted.

The government is aiming to vaccinate 90 million Filipinos in 2022.

As of the latest Covid-19 Vaccination Dashboard data, more than 63 million Filipinos have completed their vaccinations to date. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
