The Philippines has fully vaccinated 15 million Filipinos against Covid-19, the Palace said on Monday.

As of Sept. 5, 15,033,354 have received two Covid-19 vaccine doses or single-dose vaccines and completed their vaccination, Palace spokesman Harry Roque said.

Roque said 35,838,964 vaccine shots had been administered, of which 20,805,610 were first doses.

The Philippines has received over 52.7 million Covid-19 vaccine doses from different manufacturers.

The country’s total Covid-19 case count rose to 2,103,331 on Monday after tallying a single-day high 22,415 new infections.

The government aims to vaccinate 70 million Filipinos by yearend to achieve herd immunity. It is at 21.53 percent of the target. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
