Fully vaccinated individuals from “green” countries will be allowed to enter the Philippines with a shorter quarantine period starting next month, Malacañang said on Tuesday.

The decision was approved by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases on June 28, in its Resolution No. 123-C.

Green countries are those classified with low risk of Covid-19.

The seven-day quarantine period will apply to all individuals hailing from green countries, whether they were vaccinated in the Philippines or their countries of origin.

Palace spokesman Harry Roque also said that travelers from these countries must carry their proofs of vaccination.

Those vaccinated in foreign countries were required to carry their official documentation of full vaccination validated through the Philippine Overseas Labor Offices or present their international certificate of vaccination, whichever is applicable.

“Pagkaraan ng pitong araw ay kailangan pa ring mag-self monitoring for another seven days,” he added. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
