The Philippines is assured of 20 million Covid-19 vaccine doses from American pharmaceutical firm Moderna, Malacañang announced on Tuesday.
“Sabi po ni (PH Ambassador to US Babe Romualdez), we can look forward to 20 million doses of Moderna,” Palace spokesman Harry Roque said in a virtual presser.
So far, the national government has inked deals for more than 70-million vaccine doses with various manufacturers.
Finalized deals include 30 million vaccine doses of Covovax. 25 million doses of Sinovac and 17 million doses of AstraZeneca.
“Hindi pa po kasama dito ang Pfizer dahil wala pa po tayong pirmadong term sheets sa Pfizer, bagama’t inaasahan natin sa Pebrero ay mayroon pong darating na kaunti dahil po sa Covax facility,” Roque said.
