Among the active cases, 94.1% are mild, 3.2% are asymptomatic, 1.2% are severe, and 0.7% are in critical condition.

The Department of Health (DOH) also confirmed that 2 Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time.

Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate climbed to 1,653,351 with 5,595 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.

Death toll, on the other hand, increased to 31,198 with 317 new fatalities.

The health department also announced that 434 duplicate cases were removed from the nationwide count.

“Moreover, 1 case previously tagged as a recovery has been validated to be an active case and 221 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation,” the DOH said. Ronald Espartinez
