The Philippines logged 983 new Covid-19 infections from March 6 to 12, the Department of Health (DOH) said. 

The said tally is higher than the 913 new infections reported from February 27 to March 5.

Daily average cases for the recent week was 140, which was 8% higher than the 130 cases in the previous week.

One new severe and critical case was also reported, while 58 verified Covid-19 fatalities were reported during the past week.

Meanwhile, the DOH said the country tallied 78,438,601 fully vaccinated individuals, with 4,207 people vaccinated on March 6 to 12, the DOH said.
