The Philippines reported 6,979 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), pushing the nationwide tally to 1,094,849.
According to the Department of Health (DOH), only two Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time.
The country’s active Covid-19 infections stand at 63,376: 94.1% are mild, 2% are asymptomatic, 1.6% are severe, and 1.2% are in critical condition.
Meanwhile, the country recovery rate climbed to 1,013,204 with 10,179 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.
Death toll, on the other hand, increased to 18,269 with 170 more fatalities.
The DOH also confirmed that it successfully removed fifteen duplicate cases from the total count.
