The Philippines reported 6,128 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections, pushing the nationwide tally to 747,288.
The country reported the highest number of cases in Southeast Asia.
The Department of Health (DOH) announced that six Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time.
Currently, there are 130,245 active Covid-19 infections undergoing medical treatment or quarantine, also this year’s highest.
Among the number, 95.8% are mild, 2.6% are asymptomatic, 0.6% are severe, and 0.6% are in critical condition.
Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate increased to 603,746 with 491 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.
Death toll, on the other hand, inches to 13,297 with 106 new fatalities.
The DOH also announced that it removed 21 duplicate cases from the nationwide count.
