The Philippines tallied 6,100 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases Thursday according to the Department of Health (DOH). 

This brings the nationwide caseload to 1,165,155.

According to the DOH, three Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time.

The country’s active Covid-19 infections rose to 51,912; 93.1% are mild, 2.1% are asymptomatic, 2.0% are severe, and 1.5% are in critical cases.

Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate climbed to 1,093,602 with 4,071 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.

Death toll, on the other hand, inches to 19,641 with 135 new fatalities.

The DOH also confirmed that it successfully removed 16 duplicate cases from the nationwide tally, while 71 cases previously declared as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after verification. Ronald dela Cruz
