The Philippines reported 5,685 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections, pushing the nationwide tally to 1,073,555.
According to the DOH, five Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily report on time.
With this, the country’s active Covid-19 infections is now at 62,713.
Among the number, 94.4% are mild, 1.8% are asymptomatic, 1.6% are severe, and 1.2% are in critical condition.
Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate increased to 993,042 with 8,961 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.
Death toll, on the other hand, climbed to 17,800 with 178 new fatalities.
The DOH also announced it successfully removed twenty-two duplicate cases from the total case count.
