The Philippines reported 5,683 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections, pushing the nationwide tally to 1,067,892.
The Department of Health (DOH) confirmed that 21 Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time.
With this, the country currently has 66,060 active Covid-19 infections, the lowest since March 18.
Among the numbers, 94.6% are mild, 1.7% are asymptomatic, 1.5% are severe, and 1.2% are in critical condition.
Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate increased to 984,210 with 9,028 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.
Death toll, on the other hand, climbed to 17,622 with 97 new fatalities.
The DOH also announced that it successfully removed 15 duplicate cases from the nationwide count.
