The Philippines tallied 5,392 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases, Monday, as reported by the Department of Health (DOH).
This brings the nationwide caseload to 1,441,746.
According to the DOH, 10 laboratories failed to submit their daily report on time.
The country’s active Covid-19 infections further increased to 51,594; 91.1% are mild, 3.8% are asymptomatic, 2.1% are severe, and 1.5% are in critical cases.
Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate climbed to 1,364,960 with 6,477 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.
Death toll, on the other hand, inches to 25,192 with 43 new fatalities.
The DOH also confirmed that it successfully removed 15 duplicate cases from the nationwide tally, while 20 cases previously declared as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after verification. Ronald Espartinez
