The Philippines registered 5,279 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections, pushing the nationwide tally to 2,756,923. 

Today’s count brings the active cases in the country to 60,957. Among the said number, 77.5% are mild, 9.20% are moderate, 6.1% are asymptomatic, 5.1% are severe, and 2.1% are critical.

The Department of Health (DOH) also confirmed that two Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their reports on time. 

Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate increased to 2,654,173 with 7,312 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.

Death toll, on the other hand, climbed to 41,793 with 208 new fatalities. Ronald Espartinez
