The Philippines registered 4,806 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections, raising the nationwide tally to 2,740,111.

Today’s count brings the active cases in the country to 65,835. Among the said number, 78.7% are mild, 6.2% are asymptomatic, 4.6% are severe, and 2% are in critical condition.

The Department of Health (DOH) also confirmed that all Covid-19 laboratories submitted their reports on time.

Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate climbed to 2,633,039 with 5,934 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.

Death toll, on the other hand, increased to 41,237 with 260 new fatalities. 

The DOH also reported that 64 duplicates were removed from the nationwide count, as well as 175 cases previously declared as recoveries have been tagged as deaths after validation. Ronald Espartinez
