The Philippines reported a total of 1,450,110 coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections with 4,289 new infections.

The Department of Health (DOH) also confirmed that four Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time. 

Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate climbed to 1,377,132 with 6,399 more patients winning the fight against the disease while the death toll increased to 25,459 with 164 new fatalities. 

Currently, the country has 47,519 active Covid-19 infections, lowest since May 26. 

Among the numbers, 90.4% are mild, 4.1% are asymptomatic, 2.3% are severe, and 1.6% are in critical condition.

The DOH also reported that 11 duplicate cases were removed from the nationwide count.

“Moreover, 61 cases previously tagged as recoveries have been validated to be active cases, and 123 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation,” the DOH said. Ronald Espartinez
