The Philippines tallied 3,666 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases, the lowest for this month, the Department of Health (DOH) reported Tuesday.
This brings the nationwide count to 1,367,004.
According to the DOH, 12 laboratories failed to submit their daily report on time.
The country’s active Covid-19 infections slightly rose to 52,696; 91% are mild, 4.2% are asymptomatic, 2.0% are severe, and 1.4% are in critical case.
Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate climbed to 1,291,389 with 6,810 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.
Death toll, on the other hand, inches to 23,809 with 60 new fatalities.
The DOH also confirmed that it successfully removed 11 duplicate cases from the nationwide tally, while 56 cases previously declared as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after verification. Ronald Espartinez
