The Department of Health (DOH) reported 2,245 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections, the highest daily increase since November 8 last year, pushing the Philippines tally to 518,407.
According to the DOH, four Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time.
Baguio and Cebu City posted the most number of daily cases at 121; followed by Davao City with 102; Quezon City with 87; and Pangasinan with 81.
Currently, there are 32,384 active Covid-19 cases undergoing medical treatment or quarantine.
The country’s recovery rate increased to 475,542 with 140 more patients surpassing the fight against Covid-19.
Death toll, on the other hand, spiked to 10,481 with 95 new fatalities. Ronald dela Cruz
