The Philippines’ coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) tally reached 576,352 after the Department of Health (DOH) announced 2,113 new infections.
Only one Covid-19 laboratory failed to submit its daily report on time, according to the DOH.
Currently, there are 29,763 active Covid-19 cases undergoing medical treatment or quarantine: 88.7% are mild, 5.3% are asymptomatic, 2.6% are critical, 2.5% are severe and 0.93 are moderate.
The country’s recovery rate leaped to 534,271 with 9,418 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.
Death toll, on the other hand, inches to 12,318 with 29 new fatalities.
The DOH also confirmed that eight duplicates were successfully removed from the nationwide tally, while 10 cases previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final verification. Ronald dela Cruz
