The Philippines’ coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) tally pushed to 523,516 after the Department of Health (DOH) reported 2,109 new infections.
The latest DOH report showed six Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time.
Currently, there are 36,943 active Covid-19 cases undergoing treatment or quarantine: 85.2 percent are mild, 9.7 percent are asymptomatic, 2.1 percent are severe, and 2.6 percent are in critical condition.
The country’s recovery rate increased to 475,904 with 146 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.
