The Philippines’ coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) caseload leaped to 391,809 after the Department of Health (DOH) on Friday announced 2,092 new infections with 15 Covid-19 laboratories failing to submit their daily data on time.

Majority of the new cases came from Davao City with 129; Quezon City with 100; Quezon province with 83; Northern Samar with 82; and Cavite with 80.

Currently, 34,374 remaining active Covid-19 cases are undergoing treatment or quarantine: 83.6 percent are mild, 9.8 percent are asymptomatic, 2.4 are severe, and 4.2 percent are in critical condition.

The country’s recovery rate rose to 349,974 with 462 more patients winning the fight against the deadly disease.

Death toll stands at 7,461 with 52 new fatalities.
